Top 3 Moments from the Weekend – Rugby World Cup 2015

Our 3 Best Moments from a Dramatic Weekend of Rugby.

The Rugby World Cup is now in full swing and half way through the group games things are looking interesting. Tries galore, rugby that you couldn’t write and  moments that warms your heart, RWC2015 has had it all so far. Check out our Top 3 moments from the weekend below.

The Springboks are Back

Written off by some spectators and fair-weather fans after losing to Japan, South Africa bounced back clinically and physically against Samoa. Their route to qualify from the group looks fairly simple now but the result against Scotland will decide in which position. Scotland have proven they won’t be a whitewash however, with another decisive victory in their Rugby World Cup campaign over the USA.

Sometimes a splash of cold water is exactly what a team needs. We can’t wait to see what else the Springboks have in store for RWC2015.

Here be Dragons

A result only the staunchest Welsh fans believed could happen at half-time on Saturday night. Wales turned the tide and beat hosts England by 3 points in a game that will go down in rugby history.

Wales still face a stiff challenge to qualify from their group after suffering more injuries during the intense game but it is England who are now under incredible pressure to beat Group rivals Australia on Saturday. The ‘Group of Death’ has been living up to the hype.

Canada on the Edge of Victory

A spirited Canada ran the Italians very close in Leeds but an error strewn second half cost them the game. A particular highlight of the entire tournament so far is the Try from former Glasgow Warrior and recently signed Scarlets player DTH Van Der Merwe in a stunning piece of rugby. Skip to 00:45 to see that play out.
